Last Wednesday was our first Puppet Parade class. We made a shadow puppet theatre out of a cardboard box, decorated the sides with wallpaper and then taped a sheet of tracing paper over the square hole that we had cut. We also decorated the front with some paint and glitter.

After we were done with the shadow puppet theatre, we made our puppets. First we came up with a story in our heads. With our imagination we came up with characters for our story. Then we made the puppets out of stock paper and taped sticks to the back.

We also used an overhead projector to create a shadow of our silhouette. We taped a piece of paper on the wall and traced the shadow of ourselves. Then we cut the silhouette out of stock paper and attached it to a stick.
