Silk-screening T-shirts

We cut designs out of white paper to use as a stencil for our silk-screened T-shirt.  First we used yellow and layered pink and then green!!!  They turned out great!

Made from what?

This creature was made from natural materials that we found on a walk around the neighborhood.  From the picture it’s hard to tell, but the creature has a body made of two large leaves, fingers made of leaves and petals, a neck made of a twig and a belly button made from a small green tomato!  We pasted this all onto a large piece of fabric and then drew the background details on with a marker!

Masks and Wings!

These beautiful masks were made during the Masks and Wings class on Tuesdays.  They are mixed media (buttons, glitter, feathers and fabric…all of the good stuff!)  Next class we are going to fit the masks to each childs head.  Can’t wait to see them on!
