Around the World Class goes to Eygpt…

During our Around the World art class on Monday, we started off by creating our own alphabet similar to the hieroglyphics from Eygpt.

Once we were finished with our alphabet, we started to work on our sarcophagus.   To make our sarcophagus, we used cardboard and tin foil. We used our secret alphabet to write messages.  Then we painted patterens on the sarcophagus to make it beautiful and more interesting.   After the paint was dry we drew background pictures of Eygpt.  Naomi had just studied Eygpt, so her drawing includes the Nile River.

One Response to Around the World Class goes to Eygpt…

  1. Naomi and her freinds,

This is beautiful! it looks just the sarcophaguses that I have seen in Egypt. I have a painting copied from one of the Egyptioan tombs in my condo.
